Final Project - Surrealistic Artwork

For our final project, we had to recreate a surrealistic artwork from Instagram. We were provided with an article (https://surrealismtoday.com/17-mind-blowing-surreal-artists/) containing various artists and their work for us to choose from. I chose this artwork by Thom Easton.

These are the photos I chose in order to recreate this artwork.

I edited the brightness and saturation of all the elements to give it a more faded, vintage-like feel.

This was the final outcome.

The animation part of this project was what I had struggled with the most, as I was not sure what was possible for me to animate. An attempt was made at animating the sea element, but was immediately scrapped. In the end, I opted for animating the galaxy background and the shadow of the woman.
